Nebraska Association for the Gifted NAG): We welcome and encourage all Nebraskans in contact with gifted children, be they parents, educators or administrators to join NAG. This website, our conference and newsletter are our primary means of support. We also provide scholarships to students and educators. You can become a member of NAG by clicking on the Membership tag on the left of your screen, filling out the membership form and sending us a check. Another way to become a member is to attend the annual NAG conference.

National Association of Gifted Children (NAGC): The national support organization. They also host an annual conference, and have several different types of publications, depending on areas of interest. Their small pamphlets on different issues are a good introduction to various subjects. Check out their website at www.NAGC.org

National Gifted Children's Fund: Nebraska is the home of this philanthropic organization that was created for the sole purpose of assisting profoundly gifted children with their education. Check out their website at www.NGCFCharity.org

The Hollingworth Center for Highly Gifted Children: A national volunteer resource and support network for highly gifted children, their families, schools and communities www.Hollingworth.org

The Internet has allowed the creation of many different types of virtual support groups, both public and private. These sort of support groups can be invaluable, but some cautions should be noted. We recommend that you are extremely careful when giving out any personal information over the Internet. Please remember that you don't know who may be reading the information, and in the case of some email lists, the information may become a matter of public record. That said, the Internet can be a wonderful way to share experiences with those who have children just like yours. While many different types and styles of groups are out there, some of the more established email lists can be found at: GT-World: www.GTWorld.org and
